FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to make a appointment?
You can call our store if you wish to make an appointment with a specific person or time. However; walk-ins are always welcome.
How long will my order take?
Typically custom framing takes 1-2 weeks for completion. Rush orders can be completed sooner with additional fees to expedite the whole process. For an accurate timeline it is best to ask what our current schedule is like.
I broke the glass on a frame, can you replace it?
In most cases yes, so long as there is not structural damage to the frame. We can cut glass to size and replace it with standard glass, UV protective, Anti reflection, or acrylic.
How much does framing cost?
Custom framing has custom pricing that is based on size, materials chosen, and amount of time it will take to assemble. Come in for a consultation and we will go through what works best for your art and what options will fit your budget.
Is your framing conservation quality?
Yes. We have acid free backing, tapes, and mats, as well as 99% UV protection glass. All of these materials are well suited to keep your artwork protected and have it outlive you. *Not all mounting options are capable of being fully conservation.
Do you print from digital files?
Yes. We do not print onsite so we cannot fulfill same day orders. Our quality is however higher than typical same day print shops. We also offer printing on Canvas and Aluminum. You can email us the photo, or bring it in on a flashdrive. From there we can tell you maximum print size at full resolution (300dpi) and go over pricing.
My frame is broken, can you fix it?
Unfortunately no. We provide services for new frames but not for fixing or altering used frames. You might try searching for someone skilled in repairs or restoration.

What happens if I bring my order home and notice an issue?
Framing is a skilled trade with tight tolerances, unfortunately mistakes can happen. We guarantee our work to be free from flaws and defects and will do everything we can to make it right. Bring the order back and we will fix it at no extra cost. Any damage or mishandling that occurs outside of our store is not covered.
Can I frame fabric?
Yes. We often pin stretch embordered cloth, silk, felt, and cotton pieces. The amount of fabric showing has to be reduced to account for wrapping around the edge of the foamcore backing. If you plan on making a fabric project we encourage you to give it a reasonable sized border.
Can I get a mat cut to fit a frame I already have?
Of course. It is common for people to need a custom sized matboard to make a smaller photo or artwork fit a larger size frame. We have a huge selection of colours, can cut ovals, multiple openings, or multiple mats to any size up to 40" x 60" (outer dimension).
I want to frame an object, is that possible?
In most cases yes, especially with small objects. Common items are medals, vinyl records, handwritten notes, wood carvings, stamps, seashells, to name only a few. There can be limitations on weight and thickness. If you are unsure, bring it in for a consultation.
